A Qualitative Study of the Experience of Reflective Practice in the Provision of Social Work Services for Older Adults during the Covid-19 Crisis: Focusing on Social Workers at Community Welfare Centers

Abstract
The Covid-19 crisis has come to be recognized and dealt with as a common problem requiring a practical change and having an impact on social workers providing of social work services for older adults. The study aims to analyze the context of reflective practice experiences of social workers who provide social work services to older adults while coping with the Covid-19 crisis. Data were collected through in-depth individual interviews and focus group interviews with 23 social workers providing welfare services to the elderly. The data analysis identified ¡®changes in social work services and service delivery methods for older adults due to Covid-19¡¯, ¡®changes in social work services¡¯ users¡¯, and ¡®efforts to seek alternative services and enhance service effectiveness through reflective practice¡¯. Based on the results, changes and future directions were proposed for social work practice in providing community based welfare services to older adults.
